Please be aware 9pm Friday 14 November to 4.30am Monday 1 December Union Road is closed between Epsom and Bloomfield roads.
Businesses and footpaths are open. Please support local businesses during this time. Buses replace trams on route 57 please click on the link below to view more information regarding the works and replacement buses schedules.
What's happening?
Tram tracks are being renewed and making safety upgrades along Epsom and Union roads in Ascot Vale.
Major works:
Replacing tram tracks and road surface in sections
Building a new level-access tram stop
24-hour works from 10pm Friday 14 November to 4.30am Monday 1 December
Epsom Road (Langs Road to Ascot Street)
Union Road (Epsom Road to Bloomfield Road)
Traffic and transport impacts
Lane and intersection closures, with significant noise during the first week of construction.
Buses will replace trams on Route 57 during major works, and detours will be in place for vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians.
Pedestrian access to businesses will not be affected (though temporary detours may be in place).
